Personal Profile

Though I was born in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, I grew up in the suburbs of Toronto where I attended Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly, Ryerson University). I received my doctoral degree in Cognitive Psychology from Iowa State University where I managed the Psychology and Law Lab, I was primarily advised by Dr. Andrew Smith and co-advised by Dr. Gary Wells.

Before attending Iowa State University, I was a project manager in Austin, Texas. When I am not working, I enjoy thrifting, lifting, photography, watching re-runs of The Great British Bake Off and spending time with my dog, Nani.

I value:

Experimentally rigorous methodology

Open Science practices

Continual growth and improvement

Lifelong learning
